QUESTION: "Why must we rely on the five-fold and our shepherd? We all have the Holy Spirit and our inner-witness."

Pastor's response...

ANSWER: "The sheep is not designed to take care of itself, this is why there are shepherds who outta care for them! John 21:15-17 Jeremiah 2:8 Leaving a believer to 'find his own way' is like bringing a child to the world and not offering parental care, guidance, training and discipline The inward witness is foremost, but only in those who are mature Hebrews 5:14 A well developed 'internal witness' which is developed by wholesome teaching, instruction and discipleship When the believer is still a child, they don't even know how to discern their internal witness, they are still influenced by their emotions and experience When they have been exposed to the good word of God, and they have learnt through instructions and practice how to discern the voice of the spirit, then they can grow to trust more and more the inward witness, which would have been strengthened and purified with time For some believers still have an evil conscience (conscience stands for the sense of right and wrong) an evil conscience is a sense of judgment based on anything outside of Gods word Some believers have a conscience influenced by culture, some personal experience, some by demons, some by their lusts and desires All of these must be purged by the washing of water by the word, and by activation from the five fold ministry gifts and the community of the saints 1 Timothy 1:19 "
