QUESTION: "Matthew 13:52 AMP [52] He said to them, Therefore every teacher and interpreter of the Sacred Writings who has been instructed about and trained for the kingdom of heaven and has become a disciple is like a householder who brings forth out of his storehouse treasure that is new and treasure that is old the fresh as well as the familiar. In essence, most are believers in training and not disciples until we have completed kingdom training and are bearing the appropriate fruit right? - I wonder how many disciples God can see on earth Or are there grades of disciples?"

ANSWER: "There are not many disciples on earth (in comparison to believers) you know Jesus had the crowd and then only twelve disciples, disciples have always been few in comparison to believers A disciple is anyone who is CONFORMING to the mold of a masters life and ways, in this case the master is Jesus Most believers are 'not conforming' thus they are yet to 'become' disciples, there are no grades of disciples, there are only progress levels For all disciples certain things are common 1. Death to self/self denial/rejection of self and flesh life 2. Christ the ONLY standard of life and behaviour 3. Pursuing the kingdom and its righteousness first in all things 4. Loving nothing and no one else above the Lord 5. Full commitment to live by the word of God 6. Fellowship with other saints for edification purpose Believers do not have the same standard... For disciples there is just one standard: Christ! Luke 6:40 The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master. "
