QUESTION: "Why are there many types of Christians?"

Pastor's response...

ANSWER: "There is really only one type of Christian. Disciples were called Christians because they had become so Christ-like that it was the best way to define them. A real Christian is one who has fully conformed to Christ in fruit of character and good works. The reasons why it seems that there are different types of Christians is as follows: 1. Counterfeiting: These are people who do not reflect Christ in any way, but are pretenders to the faith, usually for selfish gain, acceptance or they are even deceived. These are not Christians, they are counterfeit! They don't bear the fruits of Christ. 2. Immaturity: These are believers who are still maturing in Christ, who because of their immaturity still behave like the world, thus are not wholly manifesting Christ like character. What these need is maturing! 3. Ignorance: Some actually have the fruit of Christ and can be called Christians, however, they differentiate themselves on the basis of their activities, doctrinal emphasis etc. Because of this the observing public sees them as different from each other. they are well intending but ignorant! They need to be enlightened to see that we are one body with different expressions. "
