QUESTION: "Is there such a thing as a GAY Christian?"

Pastor's response...

ANSWER: "There are those who profess Christianity, and there are those who are Christians i.e. Believers in Christ. A believer in Christ is someone who Christ is his Lord and savior. Christian means Christ like! Many who call themselves Christians are not Christ-like in anyway. So there are those who call themselves Christians but who are not really Christians! These can profess to be Gay and also Christians, just like a man can claim he is a monkey, it doesn’t make him one! However someone who is a believer may have challenges with homosexuality, just as any other believer may have challenges with binging, fornication, anger e.t.c such a believer should seek and get help to renew their minds until they are able to stand against the temptation to sin. ‘Gayness’ is not a nature, it is a sexual orientation, God made human beings, there are no ‘Gay’ human beings there are only those who are ‘persuaded’ that they are gay. Sex is primarily for procreation; our desires may make us desire other objects for sexual satisfaction, when we give in to this, it is an ‘abuse’ of the act of sex, if we give in to the thought enough, it will become a stronghold! But the truth can set you free! "
