QUESTION: "If God created women to have babies then why is it that some Christian couples eventually opt for adoption claiming that they cannot have their own children? Is this a right thing to do? Shouldn't they keep trying like Sarah and Abraham? I feel too many people give up too easily and also at what point should they receive medical help?"

ANSWER: "A couple should seek medical help as soon as it becomes obvious that there may be a problem with having a baby together. Medical science can solve a lot of issues relating to this. I have also known couples that have believed God for 18years plus to have a child and God answered their prayers. God created women to have babies; the entrance of sin into human life has made us susceptible to a myriad of issues e.g. spiritual, emotional and biological dysfunctions. All of these can contribute to the inability of a couple to have children together. God is not against adopting children; you must remember that we are also adopted by God! Romans 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. So it is not wrong to adopt children. Because just as the fallout of satanic activities has affected some families ability to have children, the same activities have robbed some children of a home, parenthood and nurture. So if couples are able to provide a home for such, God would be happy! James 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. "
