QUESTION: "Proverbs 24:13-14 13 My son, eat thou honey, because it is good; and the honeycomb, which is sweet to thy taste: 14 So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off. ANSWER: "John 15:7 IF ye abide in me, AND my words abide in you, ye shall ASK what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. (KJV) What the flesh enjoys is not enjoyable to the spirit, and vice versa. The spirits 'taste buds' must be reconditioned by the word of God, and will be tuned to desire the same things God desires and enjoy the same thing he enjoys. We can see that in Jesus example below Jn 4:32-34 32 But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of. 33 Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat? 34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. (KJV) So if we are dead to the flesh and alive to the spirit, we will enjoy things differently E.g. Real believers rejoice when new souls are born into the kingdom, and God manifests himself to bless another man or woman Religious believers enjoy when they acquire new buildings, gadgets and possession and when they receive a personal benefit Real believers rejoice in truth, and are enjoy giving themselves to God wholly, they count it a privilege to give their all to God and live their lives for him, they know God deserves much more and are glad he is willing to accept their whole lives as a token gift to show appreciation for so great a love they received from him. But Religious believers, it's all about themselves, they cannot inconvenience themselves for God, they think they are doing God a favour, and count what they do for God as a huge sacrifice. They actually think God owes them, and must serve them These are just a few examples of how we would enjoy different things depending on our degree of death to self. God is committed to giving us (our spirit man) freely all things to enjoy. The only plan God has for our carnal man is death! It cannot understand nor enjoy the things of God, the things that appeal to the carnal mind are abomination to God. Develop your Heavenly taste buds by feasting on the word of God Shalom "
