ANSWER: "Yes, We do not fear death and suffering.... Hebrews 5:8-9 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; (Jesus suffered!) Philippians 1:20-24 According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not. For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you. 2 Timothy 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. Mark 10:29-30 And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's, But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, WITH PERSECUTIONS; and in the world to come ETERNAL life. Acts 14:22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through MUCH TRIBULATION enter into the kingdom of God. You can see clearly from the above scriptures that persecution is expected , It is expected because This world is evil, the devil is evil and active, the worst he can so is cause your body to suffer, but God has freed you from the power of death( spiritual death) so you do not live in the fear of death anymore Luke 12:4-5 And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear:Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him. In terms of how we see our present sufferings.... 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 For our LIGHT AFFLICTION, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen:for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. James 1:2-3 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. Gods the Fathers priority is to save our spirits. Our bodies are going to die anyway, we can't escape death....It is appointed to man once to die and after then judgement! So the when and how we die is not as important to God as our relationship with him when we do. However, whilst we go through our afflictions, our lord Comforts us through his Holy Spirit... Our comforter. He is not unfeeling with the feelings of our infirmity, we must remember that we have HOPE! We have eternal life, even though our outward man perishes, our inward man(spirit) is renewed day by day, we have the assurance that we are loved by God and that we would not be touched by the second death, which would be the fate of humanity without Christ....
