QUESTION: "Some indeed preach Christ even from envy and strife, and some also from goodwill: The former preach Christ from selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my chains; but the latter out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel. What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is preached; and in this I rejoice, yes, and will rejoice. (?Philippians? ?1?:?15-18? NKJV)????????? Some would argue that this justifies those who preach without the motive of love. But I guess when jesus said in Matthew 'you prophesied in my name etc...I don't know you evildoers' its for those who fall into that category right??"

Pastor's response...

ANSWER: "I support Paul's statement 1000% Many preach Christ out of selfish ambition, with insincerity e.t.c the real disciples preach Christ out of love for humanity, seeking to GIve them the gift of liberty in Christ. Religion binds, Christ sets free! Religion wraps a little bit of truth with a whole load of lies, it still points man to believe in him"self" (I.e good works, self righteousness, morality) instead of getting him to put his trust in Christ "
