QUESTION: "Sir.... how can we delete self??? Cos I want to please God... I want to be CHRISTIAN not CHARISMATIC"

Pastor's response...

ANSWER: "You cannot delete it, you must DENY it! Luke 9:23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. (KJV) Self is the greatest enemy of the believer not even the devil. If you can deny self, the enemy will have no power over you. Because the power the enemy uses to control us is "self" he always encourages you to put your SELF above the things of God. Devil says seek self first, God says seek the kingdom first Galatians 5:16-17 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh:and these are contrary the one to the other:so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. (KJV) The way to deny self is always to say no to it, ignore it, deny it abandon it, and keep saying yes to the kingdom... Which is love the Lord your God with ALL your heart. Souls and might And love your neighbour as yourself. There is no way you will fulfil these two that you will not be spiritual, to put the concerns of your Lord and Saviour, and that of your neighbour above your s will automatically help you conquer self Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. (KJV) Gal 2:20 is the real Christians testimony, you must be crucified to SELF, you are not just denying it, you are dead to it, just like a dead man cannot feel pain, you must become unresponsive to SELF, then you can follow Jesus Without this you cannot be a disciple of Christ. For the carnal mind is an enemy of God. You cannot be in the flesh and glorify God anything done in the flesh honors the devil but is dishonoring to God. "
