QUESTION: "I once heard a minister make the following statement... 'A denomination can never be a father'. Will you be able to shed some light on what this means? Thanks"

Pastor's response...

ANSWER: "it Just means that systems cannot father or nurture people effectively, only people can nurture people, an organisation or religious system cannot replace spiritual parenting which is founded on relationships Mark 3:14 And he ordained twelve, that they should BE WITH HIM, and that he might send them forth to preach, Notice it said 'Be with him' compare with Acts 4:13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had BEEN WITH JESUS. it is clear that 'being with' Jesus was the key to their transformation and maturity. any fathering programme not built around relationships cannot work!"
