Job 2:1-7 "Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD. And the LORD said unto Satan, From whence comest thou? And Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.  And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause. And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life. But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face. And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life. So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown."

In the Chess game of life, spirits are the brokers and mere men are the pawns. As we see in the story of Job, when the sons of God were meeting and his fate was determined, there was no man to represent him in that all important meeting. It was the devil that attended on behalf of the inhabitants of the earth because Adam had given up his right in genesis, and we knew what consequences that had for Job.

In this dispensation, because of Jesus Christ, we are seated in the heavenly places and can join in these transactions that determine the human experience, we can say 'thy kingdom come, thy will be done'; basically declaring that the inspiration, action and experience of men shall mirror what is written in heaven.

Prayer is the exercise of our right to determine how life on earth goes, prayer is the only weapon that is effective in totally destroying hell's operations.

As we can see from the passage, there was a conversation in the realm of the spirit that eventually became Jobs reality.

There are three stages to this, and it applies to every single experience that mankind has

1. THE NEGOTIATION - This happens in the realm of the spirit, and the outcomes are concluded

In Jobs case this was the conversation between Satan and God, there was no man to intercede for job, so satan had his way. It is at this stage that spiritual people wield the most power and it is at this stage where it is easiest to stop the enemy.

2. THE INITIATION - This happens when demons/spirits put the thoughts in the hearts of men and then create the opportunity, motive, incentive for them to act on it.

In Jobs case, this is where the robbers received the notion in their heart to rob Job, it is where the disasters that afflicted him were set up, this stage can also be hijacked by a praying christian, but is usually more difficult to stop than the first one,  but is easier to stop than the next one, because you are dealing with two operations instead of one.

3. THE EXECUTION - When men have believed and held on to the thought and are acting on it and it goes on to become a stronghold of experience.

In jobs case, this is where those thoughts had now been imposed on his experience through actions, because the experience and its consequence is ongoing this is usually the hardest to combat, because you will be dealing with three operations instead of one, or two.

As believers we are empowered to engage and conquer the enemy on all three levels!

It is our right and privilege!

Psalm 149:5-9

"Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand; To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; To execute upon them the judgment written: this honor have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD."
