1 PETER 2:5

Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house (altar), an holy priesthood, to offer up SPIRITUAL SACRIFICES (your whole lives), acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. [Paraphrased]

ROMANS 12:1-2
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye PRESENT your bodies a LIVING SACRIFICE, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Psalms 51:17
The SACRIFICES of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

As we continue to seek the lord, let us remember that our altar is a place of FELLOWSHIP, SACRIFICE & COVENANT. and that WE are the altar...

So when we come into his presence (wherever we are every moment of the day), it must be to please him on HIS OWN TERMS.

We must be right stones, offering up the right sacrifice in the right way, in the right places. we are his altars, and our flesh is the sacrifice, when we make do acts with our body that glorify him, it is as if we are offering up to him a sacrifice of sweet savour.

Every moment of your day should be a moment of sacrifice and worship, there is no difference between the sacred and secular for you, your body is his mobile temple.

For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. 1 Corinthians 3:20

We must FELLOWSHIP with him reverently, not sharing our hearts and passions with the beggarly elements of the world... For he is a jealous God! Do not prefer yourselves or your own ways above his, as this is pride and I-dolatory!

1 Peter 5:6
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

We must honor the Lord by loving his brothers and sisters sacrificially, this is the only way we can prove our love to God, it is in how we love his people... Sacrificially!

We must sacrifice ourselves  (our will, pride, ambition e.t.c ) for him... When we offer our whole lives to him afterall, it is all we can afford, but the least that he deserves!

How much of your earthly treasures are you giving up for his work? Our treasures (usually money and assets) is the fruit of our labour, time and talents. And what we spend it on determines what we treasure and where our hearts will be, you can tell where your heart is by your relationship with money, where does most of your money go? Do you listen to money (its lack or abundance) in order to make decisions or do you listen to God?

Matthew 6:19-21
Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Your time, talent and treasure belongs to him, but he will not wrest it from you, be careful not to invest your whole life on things that perish and then you have no treasure in heaven!

Do not offer to the lord that which cost you nothing! Do not serve the lord on the altar of convenience ... Learn from David and see how the Lord responded

2 Samuel 24:24-25
And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the Lord my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshingfloor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver. And David built there an altar unto the Lord, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So the Lord was intreated for the land, and the plague was stayed from Israel.

Serve the Lord with your substance! Honor him with your increase, faithfulness in little means he will trust you with more

Luke 16:10-11
He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?

We must come into covenant with him, if we are his people, otherwise he does not owe us his allegiance if we have not given ours to him. He will relate to you exactly the way you treat him!

2 Samuel 22:26-28
With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful,
and with the upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright.
With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure;
and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself unsavoury.
And the afflicted people thou wilt save:
but thine eyes are upon the haughty, that thou mayest bring them down.

A covenant is a conscious agreement between two parties, it is eternal and never meant to be broken. Because it is between two mature mutually consenting adults, it is binding in every way and breaching it means death (in this case a separation from God and his goodwill and benefits)

Can the Lord trust you? Are you in covenant with him yet? He will only show himself to those in covenant with him, so that he can have offspring through them.

Deuteronomy 7:9
Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;

He is a covenant keeping God, Let us carefully approach him with reverence, gratitude and sobriety...

May the lord make this season of waiting fruitful for you, may you be willing to offer up sacrifices acceptable to him, and may he respond by shining his light on, and through you

And this is his covenant with you...

Hebrews 8:10-13
For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.
